Julia Yu Is a well-known author, some of his books are a fascination for readers like in the Goodnight Dune book, this is one of the most wanted Julia Yu author readers around the world.

Already like this quite a bit, but need to read Dune in full before I can fully appreciate it. Still, with only a rudimentary idea of what Dune is about, and, guiltily, never having read the original Goodnight Moon, this is a great little story for the future sci-fi fanatic in your familyor, the grownup sci-fi kid in all of us, staring at the valleys of the moon on a clear summer's night, or launching silver toy rockets under the noonday sun: and in each case, mouthing, "Cooooool"

Julia Yu's Goodnight Dune is an inspired illustrated parody of the omni-present Goodnight Moon that accompanies seemingly every American gift giving occasion for babies, toddlers, and new parents. This alternative illustrated verse will reward your love or fascination with Frank Herbert's Dune!Who knows, it may even encourage a love for Sci-Fi in very young readers? Here's an excerpt for the curious among you:Copyright Julia Yu, 2011 All rights reserved.

Basic plot: Goodnight Moon for the Frank Herbert worshipper.I think I would have "gotten" this a bit more had I actually ever read a Dune book. Having not read any, it was mostly just a curiosity. I'll get around to Dune some day.

Awesome possum! You have to know about Dune to really enjoy thisd you'll want to add your ownGood night Bene Gesserit Wh*re! Good night poison tooth! Good night sand storm! The drawings are delightful and perfect.

This is brilliant. So glad it exists.

Great little parody for Dune fans. The drawings are exactly what I'd expect a children's Dune to look like and there are a ton of little references hidden throughout. Those who haven't read the original books probably won't get much out of it.

While this parody is mostly good, the rhythm just doesn't read right. I'm too tired to dissect it right now, but it was just off enough to actually bother me. On the other hand, this might be the best that such a parody can be. Also, another perfectly reasonable complaint is that dark orange text on dark grey is hard to read. With picture books, these design elements are important.

    Really Goodopranks/

This book would've been good if I read the Dune series. I'll re-read this after I do that.

Who knew the world of Muad'Dib could be so calming and cuddly? Absolutely brilliant reworking of Goodnight Moon.

This book should be read to all children of sff fans as part of their foundation.

Not having read Dune, I couldn't wait for it to be over. Makes me think I don't even have the right to read this, but there it is free on the internet. So I did.

    Very cute!

A very clever parody of "Goodnight Moon".
